Materials Engineer — Technical Submittals
View role details
Own the technical material submittal process for our façade packages — collecting supplier documentation, building compliance statements against project specifications, and driving submittals through to consultant approval. This role is the technical bridge between our suppliers, our project teams, and the client's consultant.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing complete technical material submittals in line with each project's specification
- Chasing documentation from system suppliers, glass processors, and manufacturers of sealants, gaskets, hardware, and finishes
- Compiling and verifying technical data sheets, test certificates, mill certificates, warranties, method statements, and physical samples
- Building clause-by-clause compliance statements and specification compliance matrices, clearly flagging any proposed deviations
- Reviewing supplier documentation for validity — correct test standard, valid scope, current issue date, matching product designation
- Maintaining the submittal register: status, consultant comments, resubmittals, approval dates
- Coordinating with estimation, technical, procurement, and QA/QC, and building a reusable library of approved materials and vendor documentation
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years preparing technical material submittals, ideally on façade, cladding, or building envelope packages
- GCC experience — Saudi Arabia strongly preferred, with familiarity with local consultant approval processes
- BSc in Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering
- Specification literacy — able to turn each clause into a defensible compliance response
- Technical knowledge of aluminium systems, glass types and coatings, insulated and laminated units, sealants, gaskets, anchors, and finishes including powder coating and anodising
- Able to read and interpret test reports against ASTM, EN, AAMA, BS, and SASO standards — air, water, structural, thermal, acoustic, and fire performance
- Advanced MS Word (styles, tables, templates) and Excel for registers and tracking logs
- Professional PDF handling — compiling, merging, bookmarking, indexing, and marking up large submittal packages
- Clear written English for consultant and supplier correspondence
Estimation Engineer — Aluminium Façade
View role details
Own façade packages end to end — from tender documents through to a priced, qualified offer — working alongside our estimation, procurement, and commercial teams on major Saudi projects.
What you'll be doing
- Reviewing tender drawings and specs, defining scope, flagging gaps
- Quantity take-off for curtain wall, unitized and stick systems, windows, doors, louvres, cladding, and skylights
- Building detailed cost estimates covering profiles, glass, accessories, fabrication, finishing, installation, access, and logistics
- Floating RFQs, levelling supplier quotations, and preparing priced BOQs with clear qualifications and exclusions
- Supporting value engineering to hit client targets
What we're looking for
- 3–5 years of hands-on estimation experience in aluminium and glazed façade works
- Proven façade pricing experience in the GCC — Saudi Arabia strongly preferred
- BSc in Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering
- Advanced take-off and pricing with PlanSwift and/or structured Excel models
- AutoCAD fluency; able to open and interrogate Revit and Navisworks models
- Strong drawing literacy and aluminium technical detailing — system types, thermal breaks, glazing configurations, gaskets, anchoring, movement joints, drainage
- Ability to translate performance specs (air, water, structural, thermal, acoustic) into priced scope
- Familiarity with Schüco, Reynaers, Technal, or equivalent systems is a plus
